Golf Warm-ups

It’s spring, which means in the midwest, we get to go outside again 😆. I started golfing 2 summers ago and I have been taking lessons over the winter so yesterday I decided to hit the driving range and practice what I had learned. Before I went I did these warm-ups to help open up my lats, lower back and hips.

Lat stretch with a ball-place the side of your hand (pinkie side down) on the ball then push the ball away so your armpit is rotated down towards the floor then bring it back. Do this 5 times on each arm.

Inner thigh stretch-on your hands and knees bring your left leg out to the side, rock back until you feel a stretch in your inner thigh and hold for a breath. Do this 5 times on each leg

Side stretch-standing up with your left hand in the air lean to the right side. To get a deeper side stretch, cross your left leg behind your right leg. Do this 1-2 times per side holding for 20 seconds

low back rotations-with your hands behind your head twist and lean 3 times to the right side trying to go a little farther each time.

Hip 90/90s-sitting in a 90/90 position lean forward and hold for 1 breath then release and repeat. Do this 4-5 times per leg.

I hope you have an amazing golf game this summer! Follow along on IG for more golf fitness tips.
