3 Tips to Help You Fall Back Into Your Routine

Summer is almost done and fall is just around the corner.  Whether you have kiddo’s heading back to school or not fall is always a clean slate.  It’s the perfect time to revisit your January goals.  What have you accomplished?  What are you still working on?  What needs to be worked on?

Most people fall off the healthy bandwagon in the summer.   Vacations, bbq’s, cocktails….etc  If that is you, no worries-these 3 tips will help you get back on track!

  1. Eat protein and produce at every meal.  Protein will help you shed fat while keeping muscle and produce will fill you up and keep you full.  Example: 4oz of steak with 3 cups of mixed green salad and 2 TBSP salad dressing
  2. Get moving.  Move your body.  In order to shed the extra weight you have to start exercising.  Find something you like to do and do it.  I highly recommend strength training.  Lifting weights is so important, from building muscle, to helping to shed fat, keeping our bones strong…..the list goes on.  If you are intimidated by lifting weights hire a personal trainer to help you.  Once you feel confident then you can take the weight room by storm 🙂
  3. Journal.  Journal what you eat, what you drink and how you feel.  You will be amazed at what you can learn about yourself when you start to journal.
