How to Make Healthy Cocktails

We all want to enjoy a cocktail from time to time so how can we make them healthier so we don’t wreak all our hard work from the gym?  Here are a few tips to make your favorite cocktail a little bit healthier.

  1. Use 100% juice instead of juice mixes.  Pineapple, orange and grapefruit juice are all good mixers and you can easily find them in 100% options.
  2. Try coconut water with spiced rum or malibu.  Coconut water only adds about 5 calories per serving and the coconut flavor will make you feel like you are on vacation!
  3. Lime or lemon sparkling water.  Add these no calorie mixers to flavored vodka.  It will add more flavor to your drink and some bubbles!!
  4. Use less sugar in drinks that all for it (Ex. Mojitos) or try Agave nectar in place of sugar
