How to Start?

You have decided to take control of your health but how to you start? What do you do first, second and third? There is so much information out there what of it pertains to you? I will break this down in 3 managable steps for you. So, here is how you start……..

  1. Decide what your goal is and what you want to focus on. I would suggest having a big goal and then break it down into smaller, more managable goals. Decide what you want to focus on-nutrition or exercise. Both are good but if you are new to this you will not be successful if you try to focus on both. Nutrition is more important when it comes to weight loss, so if that is your goal I would suggest focusing on nutrition. You can still incorporate exercise into your new healthy routine but the focus should be on nutrition.
  2. Hire a professional. 99% of people can’t do this alone. If you knew what worked for your body then you wouldn’t be in the position you are currently in, right? Then, stop thinking you can do this by yourself. If you are serious about reaching your goal then hire a professional that can help you. You need to learn how to eat for your body, learn new habits, behaviors and mindset.
  3. Find your support group. Again, people can’t do this alone. My most successful clients have a support group or at least 1 person that is cheering them on. It could be your spouse, family, friends, online group….etc. Find someone that can motivate you and hold you accountable. (Your coach will but you need someone outside of your coach too)
