New Year’s Resolutions-Yay or Nay

The New Year is here!  Have you made your New Year’s resolution???  Have you already broken it or not followed it?????  So many people make New Year’s Resolutions, most of them diet/fitness related, and 80% of them quit after 4 weeks!  Another 10% quite after 6 weeks!  Why??  Why are you making a New Year’s resolution that you are not going to keep? Why do you even make it in the first place-to feel like a failure?

I think the reason you can’t keep your New Year’s resolution (and I am talking diet/fitness new years resolution) is because you don’t want to.  You really don’t want to lose weight, to get healthy, to feel good.  WHAT!  The reason I think that, is because your reason, your why is not good enough to get you to keep moving forward when the going gets tough.   Your why needs to be HUGH!!  Your reason for losing weight/getting healthy needs to more than looking good in skinny jeans or losing weight for a vacation.  It needs to be deeper, bigger-it needs to be health related.  Perhaps you don’t want to get diabetes like your parents or maybe you don’t want to be on medication for the rest of your life.  You only have 1 body and 1 life to live-why not live life to the fullest and that includes feeling your best!  Why are you trying to cut your life short?
