Protein Powder Taste Test

Taste Testing Protein Powders

We all know there are millions of protein powders on the market (well, maybe not millions but it seems like it!) There is nothing worse then buying a tub of protein powder, getting home and making a shake and it’s gross-Am I right!  So, today I am bringing you my favorite protein powders along with what I liked and didn’t like about each of them.

If you want more then a protein powder this Life shake is for you!  It tastes great, blends well AND has digestive enzymes and pre-biotics in it to help with gut health.  This is hands down by favorite protein powder.  It also has leucine in it, which is an amino acid that helps with building muscle while losing fat.  It is also organic, non-gmo and made from food-not chemicals!

The life shake comes in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cafe latte and seasonal flavors.

In the basic protein powder category the Advanced Physique Whey protein powder is a winner.  This protein powder is also powered by leucine.  There is no digestive enzeyme in this or pre-biotic.  It is great for those looking for a basic whey protein powder.  Also, non-gmo and organic!  This protein powder comes in Vanilla and Chocolate.

Next up is plant protein powder.  Plant protein powder does not taste like whey or soy.  It has a very different flavor due to the plants.  This one tastes good, blends well, and is not chalky.  This shake is very low in sugar (less then 3 grams!)   It comes in vanilla or chocolate.  Read more about this shake here

This shake is also powdered by leucine, has pre-biotics in it, is non-gmo and organic!

My favorite shake recipe:

PB and J

2 scoops LIFE vanilla shake ( can use plant, whey or soy)

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup water

1 cup frozen strawberries

1/2 a banana

1 TBSP peanut butter

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend well.  Enjoy!

I hope you liked this protein powder review!! I would love to hear from you-which protein powders are you going to try?
