What is a Bosu?
In hanging around the gym and working with my clients, I have found that the Bosu is a piece of gym equipment that creates a lot of questions as well as a little fear. The Bosu really isn’t something to fear and is actually a fantastic tool for use in strengthening your core and improving stability.
This is what it looks like:
Doing lunges, squats, push-ups and upper body work while on the Bosu makes the exercise harder and strengthens your core. It also helps with training your legs to react to sudden bumps or cracks in the road. This is beneficial to anyone who runs, hikes or walks outside.
To get comfortable on the Bosu, first try to stand on it for 1 minute. Once you feel comfortable with that, try doing squats on it, then add a shoulder press with your squats.
Incorporate the Bosu into your fitness routine and you will see results quickly.
